The single worst period in boxing history coincided with Mayweather being its leading face/star.

His retirement is the best thing that's happened to boxing in recent years.

Triple God is taking boxing to the mainstream. I dont see Ward/Floyd in Apple commercials. Fortune 500 companies want a piece of GGG.

They said this when Leonard, Hearns, Duran, Hagler retired. They said this when Tyson retired. They said this when De La Hoya retired. Now they're saying this when Floyd and Manny are retiring. Boxing will always live on.

He's got no losses because he was lucky with a few decisions and didn't fight who he should have, or controversies of some kind or another with CWs. You should fight people you aren't expected to beat ie ggg if you want your unbeaten record to have credibility. So yes Floyd can boast yes i may have had a few lucky decisions but at least i beat someone i was underdog against so that erases controversial decisions.

Boxing will have no problems without flood he held boxing to ransom and did not fight people when people wanted or the fighters people wanted him to.

The PPV will never be the same without Floyd. I hope there are less of them! Thanks to Al Haymon, I think boxing on network TV is here to stay:

              March 22, 2016

Floyd Mayweather defeated more ranked welterweight contenders than Thomas Hearns (rankings by Ring/TBRB). He defeated more top five contenders than almost anyone outside the top ten, aside from the likes of Jackie Fields – but Fields also lost to a handful of welterweights. Mayweather was unbeaten...

He was one of the few men to become a two-time lineal world-welterweight champion and the only man who ever did it without losing a fight, coming out of retirement to do what Barbados Joe Walcott and Benny Leonard both failed to do.

they don't need hand outs to make somebody else some money. they earn everything that they got.
