Hes setting himself up for a Joshua showdown after he losses to Wlad . Which is even a worse match up for him stylistically. If he beats Wlad "IF" he will go after Wilder or Povetkin knowing he would fare better against them .The fact is Joshua at 6'6 is much more all around solid than anyone ,Fury knows this and is WISHING for a Martin win as that would make it more comfortable for Fury knowing the improving talent is derailed and wont have to deal with him soon. If Wlad wins he is almost certain to fight Povetkin or Wilder . Joshua should end this fight quick against Martin and if he does Fury will put everything he has to defeat Wlad so he doesnt have to face Joshua who i think hes the last guy Fury wants to fight deep inside.

Joshua literally only took up boxing two years prior to that.

And I think Fury has taken more leaps forward than Joshua at the moment (obviously, because he just beat Wlad), hence saying I think Joshua needs another year or two.

I think Martin is gonna be a real tough fight for Joshua.

Wlad, despite his age, had a phenomenal wealth of experience. What experience does Joshua have? He's only had to deal with adversity once in his professional career, and he didn't even hit the deck, just got momentarily wobbled. He's never had to go the distance, never had to dig deep when his lungs are burning and his limbs feel like lead and he's down on all the cards. He's never had to adapt because his current game plan isn't working. He's used to having everything his own way.

Yes his hunger and freshness can be an asset, but it can also be a hindrance, and if he can't land those shots on Fury which he was able to land on all his other opponents to date how well does he cope with that? Fury's the slipperiest and most unorthodox fighter in the division. Let's see how Joshua handles a guy like Szpilka or Scott before proclaiming him official Fury bane.

The last time Joshua fought someone who didnt just stand there to be pummelled was Felix Savon in the Olympics, a fight in which he struggled a lot. Until I see him deal with someone with decent footwork I dont see him winning a round against Fury.

Fury boxing smart off the back foot with all his head movement and feints makes him a very hard man to beat.

Thing is, Fury has improved by leaps and bounds in the last two years. Way more than Joshua, or in fact any other fighter I can think of. I can totally understand a big strong lad like Joshua manhandling the sloppy brawler Fury of the Cunningham/Chisora 1 days, but this new iteration? Not so much.

How the hell can you tell he has improved more than Joshua in the last 2 years....Joshua has not been taken past 7 rounds in his whole career...and given the fact that even Whyte was a known ****er who was also unbeaten....now I will say this to to you as well.....put your money where your mouth is...and judging by silly deontay wilder who has had over 30 fights still lacks boxing savvy and technique and has faced bum after bum since becoming world champion....your see son on April the 9th just how strong and ruthless Joshua will be and this is just the start...now knock Joshua if has been poor but up until now he has pretty much destroyed every opponent and that includes any boxers who were b rated.....he didn't even raise a sweat in all but one of his fights...fury played a game with klitchcko and it payed off...he won't do it with Joshua will walk right through him and land on his chin.....I guarantee you that
