Why the need to blame Haymon for this? How many times has Frankie Gomez missed weight for Golden Boy Promotions? Who is the promoter that handles David Lemieux who just missed weight a few weeks ago? Who promoted Nicholas Walters when he missed weight and had his belt stripped?

This is a boxing issue not an Al Haymon issue.



I agree 100%. Too many guys in this younger generation are entitled, they are given every opportunity on a silver platter yet they still manage to blow it because they don't work hard and aren't professional.

Haymon made Broner. When Broner fucked over Escobedo on the scales, not once but twice, Haymon nor anyone associated him said a word about it. Broner didn't even try to come in at the agreed weight for Saturday morning after he missed the limit first time around. He and his team blatantly took advantage of a guy desperate for money because he just had a kid, and laughed as they did it.

This is why Broner is the way he is and Haymon is 100% complicit in it. In boxing terms he's a silver spoon kid who is used to Daddy bailing him out every time he pisses people off.

This is a very sorry state of affairs for professional boxing; Especially for a prize fighter. He was only four tenths of a pound from making the weight but still managed to not even attempt to lose it, after knowing full well in advance what the stipulated weight was long before he even signed the contract. The man lacks scruples, commitment, dedication, discipline, determination and focus. He just may be worthy of a champion yet.

Did you blame Top Rank for Mikey Garcia and The Axeman not making weight?

Did you blame Golden Boy for David Lemieux and Frankie Gomez (repeatedly) not making weight?

If you can point me to the posts where you criticized Arum and De La Hoya in the same way that you are now criticizing Haymon then I will say that you are an objective poster who applies his standards fairly to everyone across the board.

But if you can't provide proof then I have to assume that you obviously have a biased agenda and use double standards when it comes to Haymon.
