So hes propably fighting Briggs after Gjergjaj instead of a serious opponent....the bum-tour continues.

i mean he spent the first era of his career being a ****y douche and it backfired big time when he basically fought to survive in the Klitschko fight. I'd rather see him being humble than signing a check his ass can't cash, like he used to do.It was a nice gesture, but let's not pretend that Haye really gives a ****, it's a PR exercise for him.
Haye is currently rebranding himself as the good guy of British boxing, presumably to combat Tyson Fury who markets himself as the villian, and to emulate the Anthony Joshua "humble bro" model.
Haye cares about his check, he doesn't give a crap about boxing or its participants.
This is what Haye really thinks of his fellow fighters.

C'mon... he's barely into a comeback after 4 years absent. And I wouldn't call Briggs a "bum" exactly. For some reason I wanna see this fight. Mainly so I can see the press tour lolComment

That's your opinion, that he's doing it as a PR move. Fact is, he's donating 10% of ticket sales to an injured fighter. It has to be commended. It was a nice gesture, but let's not pretend that Haye really gives a ****, it's a PR exercise for him.

As for Singleton, it's not Haye's fault his opponent pulled out 2 days before the fight. Haye (or more specifically Haye's team; Haye would have had very little to do with it) couldn't provide a stand-in at such short notice and the fight was scrapped. Let's face it, the vast, vast majority of punters had paid to see the main event so it's not like it was a great loss. Singleton's a bum anyway. Guy hasn't got one meaningful win on his resume and lost against the one half-decent fighter (Eggington) he squared off with.Comment

Briggs dropped from the WBA # 4 to #7 but he is still ahead of Haye. So Haye would be fighting a guy ranked higher than him in the WBA. Chagaev is #6 but that could change if browne is stripped. Haye/Briggs could be a WBA eliminator because everyone else who is ranked higher is busy or in the WBA tourney.Comment

Not every fighter is destined to make it to the top. Shane is an honest pro trying to make a living from the sport. Haye or Haye's team should have compensated him or at least got him another opponent, just not refuse to answer the phone. That's your opinion, that he's doing it as a PR move. Like i say, it's a nice gesture but if he was really concerned, he would've donated a bigger % or stayed anonymous. Adam Etches has started a JustGiving account for Blackwell, Haye could've just donated a few quid via that. It's PR and anyone who thinks otherwise is a mug.Comment

I'd be Haye, I d take Briggs as another tuneup fight(so he can stfu)... if he actually get a license to fight... i think he needs a good "last" beating to understands that enough is enough buddy......I know, he doesnt know yet, and everybody knows, with Haye, he wont last 2 rounds.Comment

Well it worked for George ForemanIt was a nice gesture, but let's not pretend that Haye really gives a ****, it's a PR exercise for him.

What a joke i dont care about this bull****-organisations Briggs should be ranked at 30 or even lower. Boxrec has him at 46.
Only thing Briggs did was beating some out of shape yourneymen since loosing to Klitschko. But still i should not call any fighter a bum thats right. I do apologize for that and hope i can still continue to live.Last edited by Tobi.G; 03-31-2016, 01:47 PM.Comment
