Hoya confirmed the Canelo offer, and Eubank has been chasing Saunders since their first fight. But, if you would prefer to believe a bunch of known liars, then knock yourself out.Comment

When was the Canelo offer made ? I like that fight but not at 155, Canelo ain't fighting above 155 period he has made that blatantly clear maybe he intents to ditch the WBC belt thus acquiring the WBO, the WBC may very well come to regret putting that interim strap around GGG's waist in their greed and lust to take on their multiple sanctioning fees.
At 160 I could see that being a competitive fight, Saunders is under rated with his boxing skill itself and has proven to be durable. I expect an offer at 155 would be significantly higher than anything else on the table and he could comeback to the Eubanks fight down the line, they'll always have history the pair of them.
Can't find the interview, but Saunders mentions the 2 offers here.....
About 2.00 in.....
The correct interview was Frank/Billy-Joe, i think it may have been by that guy Kugan, not sure..... but it was about 6-8 weeks ago.Comment

I would say that Saunders vs Eubank sells even better if they let it wait and build up Eubanks again...but that's just me thinking that fight is always there..beating him again right now without a money fight in between means you didn't maximize. To each their own.Saunders vs Eubank Jr II (with a world title on the line) will likely put that kind of money into Saunders' pocket (especially if Showtime Internation gets involved), and don't forget that Jacobs-Quillin did split $3m on their fight (without a UK broadcaster being overly invested in the fight).
There's no reason for Saunders to take short money on any fight at this point.Comment

Maybe GGG should stay in his own division and fight with one hand tied behind his back?Jacobs has been flattened by a lesser puncher than GGG, it isn't an insinuation or missive, it's a fact Jacobs and Saunders who went life and death with novice Eubanks, fights against GGG wouldn't be exciting fights in the least, Jacobs versus Sanders has competitive wrote all over it, as does Jacobs versus Eubanks.
Maybe Saunders would have the fights to come back to but I very much doubt it, GGG would fold his ass and their would be zero demand to see him afterwards.
I don't care what money Saunders gets or is offered, I don't want to see GGG versus any one of Canelo, Saunders or Jacobs the fights just don't excite me, mix those three against each other I believe you have some competitive match ups.
GGG don't have any fights at 160 for me to get excited over, we are talking about a guy who was prepared to go to 168 for Carl Froch, you believe he would have struggled in that fight ? No, me neither. GGG should be campaigning at 168 he's too small for divisions higher and clearly too strong for everyone at 160.
If I was a blow hard GGG fan I would be wanting my man to clear up 168, he has it in him yet clearly their isn't a money fight there unless maybe Ward beats Kovalev and moves back down as a ppv entity, or maybe a catch weight between GGG vs Kovalev to prove who the best in the world is at something like 170-173, what is the weight GGG weighs in at fight night, could it be 170+, yeh I thought so.Comment

I guess it is somewhat comparable to Briggs' record, a ton of stoppages against nobodies. Damn Briggs could punch but he never really cracked top level, unless you consider Liakhovich elite, which I'm guessing these GGG fans would have had they been Briggs fans too.I guess if his fans are cool with seeing GGG fight C/D class fighters??? We should be also.
GGG ain't ever getting in the boxing Hall of Fame with this shty resume. And like Bonds. No one Is gonna respect any records he breaks. He will go down as having one of the WORST boxing resume of any true champion...Comment
