    Oscar De La Hoya confirmed Tuesday what seemed obvious when the David Lemieux-Glen Tapia fight was made nearly two weeks ago. The winner of their 10-round middleweight match May 7 will become a potential opponent for Canelo Alvarez.

            Would have been a much more sound plan if they didn't feed Lemieux to Golovkin for nothing really.
