Who's to blame for the low turnout to Ward-Barrera?

I kept hearing by Cali boxing people that they thought some Too Short 30 year concert thing in Oakland was gonna hurt the draw for this fight. But I think that took place at a 3k capacity venue so idk wtf they were talking about.

Ward just isn't an exciting fighter, he's a humble rather quiet mundane guy & there is a ton of **** to do in Cali on any given night so Ward selling out is gonna require some crazy **** going down. Why he's even loyal to Oakland makes no sense to me. He should adopt some random town in Kentucky & try to get some sort of Crawford in Omaha following. I don't think he's ever gonna be killing it in Cali. He's just not that guy.

where was all the holding and running vs Barrera....there was like 2 head buts and most the clinches were initiated by Barrera

they really have no ammo to crap on ward...he is too good of a fighter, person, and his resume is unquestionable

right that was beautiful boxing and he was right in front of him the whole time!! in the pocket, slipping, etc it was beautiful and he wasn't fighting some slouch either. I saw a poster say his next fight should be vs an elite fighter in the division, I say he needs another tune up vs a decent opponent then kov.

Kovalev is the only guy who stands out at 175.....Stevenson aint happeneing

I'd like to see him in versus Beterbiev....he beat Kov in the amatuers and is ranked in the top ten

all the other guys are Stevenson or Kov leftovers

no one will prepare him for Kov out of this crop of 175ers but any top ten guy or even top 5 will be fine with me....175 isnt all that deep

roc nation, like PBC, don't really seem to have much of a "ground game" in the same way that old hands like top rank and GBP do. they just put up the money for events and then don't seem to actually do any promotion

It's better this way you don't want getto trash Larrys supporting him
