Who's to blame for the low turnout to Ward-Barrera?

Ward-Barrera drew a crowd of 8,532. Less than half of Oracle Arena's 19,596 total seats. Ward should be selling out fighting at home. Especially if he's headlining HBO's World Championship Boxing.

I like Andre Ward but to the casual fan he isn't exciting to watch and he isn't a trash talker so he doesn't drum up anticipation before a fight either. The result is what you saw Saturday night - arena at 50% capacity.

Don't worry about that for ''HBO's World Championship Boxing''

There are 2 Million ***s in NYC, and 800,000 Puerto Ricans

Yankee Stadium can fulfil 30K seats.

Yuri Foreman (the ''***ish Champion'') vs Miguel Cotto - the PR King. They only sold 20K.

So the pop quiz, how many ***ish to PR fans came?

How many Ward to Barrera fans came?

The casuals love the bull spewed out by HBO & Showtime.

I find Ward an amazing fighter, he has all the skills, including a head but or low blow when needed!!

        War Ward!

HBO is to blame, Ward too, for his legal issues and injuries!

Ward just isn't a showman. Great fighter with excellent skills but he provides very little in terms of entertainment for the casual fan base. He can completely dominate his opponent yet still manage to bore certain viewers in the process. Reason being? He has a very bland personality and doesnt possess a killer instinct.

8,000 isnt bad...He hasnt been active in years...meaning fought more than one fight a year and he didnt fight a big name opponent.

Also he isnt a knockout artist. for fans knockouts>Quality fighters

He reminds me of Hopkins and Jones doing a fusion dance from DBZ....especially when he was more active...not quite as dirty as hops and not quite as athletic as Jones but somewhere in the middle and he has all the tricks in the book

when he puts a right hand behind it....ewwwww

You could see he was trying to get the timing down on it

Looping it, throwing an overhand and straights....I like watching him because its like a living breathing boxing manual....ironically the fighters he says he took things from are Mayweather, Jones and Hopkins....Im around his age, be 31 in may...those are the guys I looked up to as well...he really took things from all them guys and made his own style with Hunter
