Mike McCallum retired when he was 41 years old.

Golovkin is only 33 years old right now.

Give him time. He's stepped up in division slowly over the past 2-4 years. Nobody can argue this. Just look, even if you don't appreciate the names, Murray and Lemieux are/were top 10 middleweights. Wade is a mandatory, how many people here are going to keep bringing this up? Whether he'll get BJS or Canelo to fight him this coming year, we'll see. I think both will pass on fighting him next, and he ends up fighting Andy Lee. If BJS and Canelo duck again, I think the big UK fight will end up being vs Eubank Jr.

It's a big question on who he'll end up fighting, but there's still a lot of names. These next two years will be good for him in terms of compeition.

Canelo, Saunders, Eubank Jr., Jacobs, Andy Lee--- I think he'll have at least 3 of the names on this list in two years time. Then, maybe he'll move up and fight at 168 if he doesn't look like he's declining much. Or, maybe he would have already fought someone at 168. I think AA would be an easy win for him, although I wonder if AA will even get by Ramirez.

The middleweight division is fine. Arif Magomedov, Ryota Murata, and Ievgen Khytrov are the three I'm looking at for upcoming prospects right now. They might not fight Golovkin, as he'll probably be old/retired (I hope, in the case that he's a shot fighter) when they start challenging the top (assuming they make it).

Duran wouldve got dominated by the body snatcher

      Hagler had the best shot

      Leonard would get outmuscled

Hearns had a shot would've been great...didn't mike train with steward a time @ kronk

There are nothing but bums at 160......bjs, Jacobs, and the rest of 160 is trash (C+ fighters at best) and then you have canelo who will only fight him under his terms(deservedly). Trying to build a legacy there is not even worth it when you think about it. If he doesn't fight canelo within this next year, he needs to move up and test himself at 168......degale would stay at 168 for a GGG fight, jack, dirrell, AA, maybe even a Chavez fight for the money would be worth it.....but 160 is a wasteland, IDC about Hopkins' record either cause a lot of the fighters he beat at 160 were barely b-level too.

Yea, at 34 years old he's off to a great start....

It seems that this forum and youtube are the two places where people act as if ggg has a great resume, or that he is a victim of no one wanting to fight him. In real world/real talk, EVERYONE seems to think that he has signs of real talent but hasn't ever has a good opponent.

Monzon's 14 is the golden standard and only one that's legit in my book

                    They counting trinket defenses

CM beat benvenuti the man who beat the man n HOFer to boot

GGG got elevated n Hopkins beat sergundo Mercado for a belt he didnt unify til def 13-14...not the same thing

exactly, hopkins wasn't undisputed for a lot of those middleweight title defenses.
