He boxed him up. I'm re-watching now.

You sure about that? Because their first fight sure didn't prove that Alvarez was the better fighter.

The thing that always gets me that people say about Canelo, is the he has improved so much from the Mayweather debacle.

Watching that Lara fight I saw zero changes, he was just fighting a more basic guy who was still a really good boxer and he didn't solve Lara's game at all.

Going to the Cotto fight sure he won and looked pretty good, but it wasn't some master class where he had Cotto totally figured out either.

Not that Canelo isn't good but he is what he is and it isn't changing.

Exactly. He has cement feet and that won't change. Lara is hitting him clean and even messed with him for a bit.

Beat Trout much more convincingly. This is boxing Larry and I dislike huggers like Ward I get the feeling you're trying to hype up Floyd's win.

What has Canelo done? Beat a shot Cotto barely. And duck GGG

Plus it always seems that people expect him to give up his boxing nature and expect the Mexican warrior to come out in him (or the fighting Irishman).

If that trait didn't come out against Mayweather, Lara or even Cotto it doesn't exist within him.

First fight was close enough to warrant a rematch but I don't want to see it.

                      Can't see it happening either.
