Obviously Golovkin isn't going to move up to 168-175 for Ward now while they are going after Canelo or even Saunders next, then move down to 154 to fight Floyd lol. All these hypotheticals that aren't reality (Ward is at 175 now and going after Kovalev who says Ward would drop down to 168 himself? And Floyd isn't coming back to fight Golovkin).
    Woah, wait a minute.

The context wasn't the issue here at all. The fact that Ward is at 175 now is a cop out because, he was asked before that if GGG is willing to move up to 168 to fight Froch or Chavez Jr and then back down again to fight Floyd, why was it such an issue that you were only willing to fight Ward at a CW of 164?

You just said that GGG was struggling to get fights, the Ward fight was right there. Now that Ward has moved up, he is again talking about GGG fighting 168s and still being able to come down to fight Floyd.

It is complete bullcrap. He can call it a step back now that Ward has moved up, but the truth is they didn't want that specific fight for years and got a pass for the shady business they tried to pull off.

...this pretty much sums up what he was talking about in context. To get a Mayweather fight moving up to fight Ward is a step back due to the hardship of going back down. Thats the actual context. Nice clickbait title doe.
He ssid he beats anyone from 154-168. Now your boy gg Is not going to go up or down

This is hilarious cuz in another thread rn I'm being called a Canelo fanboy over the 155 weight issue with GGG.

Basically guys say ****. There is an element of hype in boxing. There is also the ability to change your stance or there being a time limit put on your words. You can't just go up to a 72yr old GGG one day & punch him in the face cuz you weigh 168lbs.

The Ward fight was there? Did you follow the sport? Golovkin asked Ward for a fight in 2012 (at 168), Ward declined. Ward went through his problems and GGG did his thing, and finally when Ward came back he contacted K2 right after Golovkin Lemieux was finalized, and what was Ward's offer? To make a deal to fight in late 2016. They weren't interested in making a 1-year away deal especially considering they thought they were getting Cotto-Canelo winner next, and Ward immediately decided he was going to campaign at 175. So no, the Ward fight has never been there.

In 2012-2013 when GGG first came into the scene and couldn't get fights. Don't you think his current situation is different than 2-3 years ago? Golovkin now has the IBF, WBA and WBC interim titles (mandatory to Canelo). But you guys act like he should abandon all that for a theoretical fight that may or may not even be possible! Can or more importantly, would Ward even want to go down to 168 being that he's now a full 175 pound fighter and spent time adding weight properly? I seriously doubt it. So then it would mean GGG would have to go to 175 pounds, which is entering crazy territory. And for what? A one off fight that isn't even that big as far as PPV goes? Wouldn't Golovkin need at least 2-3 fights to move up in weight properly like Ward is doing or nah, that kind of logic doesn't apply to Golovkin?

ABEL just said in this interview that it's a business. A fight with ward would be a huge PPV event. Where both fighters would make multi millions

Abel would be wise to take Ward's advice.
