Well according to Abel Sanchez, if the super six andre ward didn't show up last night Barerra beats him. Abel now says Ward is not the same fighter from the super six so what does that make Barerra since he got outclassed ?

Wards will do good against Kovalev and he'll only get better with activity. Ppl dont understand when a fighter moves up his style adjusts considering the size of the opposition being bigger. Barrera was a big guy with solid skills. Good win for Ward.

Sanchez is salty Ward beat em

He will beat Kovalev easily when they meet. If your plan is to rely on power and a strong punch against this guy you're going down the wrong path. You have to box him to beat him, trying to overwhelm him plays right into his hands. He closes distance to take away anything too strong and when he's not close, he's too far away and quick for you to land anything on the outside. It's truly something special to watch. Oh and while you're missing he's landing clean shots. That left hook looked better than it ever has last night. Wait until he brings the right hand back to the party. I thought he get the stoppage by 10 and early it looked like he would, but I think Barrera became too defensive to get it done. Either way it was easy work against a top 5-10 LHW.

Taking ALL bets just shoot me a PM. Ward beats Kov, frustrates and completely boggles him. That I have no doubt about.

If you think anyone at 175 can easily beat Kovalev you don't know much about the sport. Likewise is true for anyone on here who believes Ward can be beat easily by anyone.

Kovalev has shown he isn't some crude power only fighter and he's displayed enough versatility in his game that proves he isn't one dimensional. Likewise, Ward has shown an incredible amount of versatility in his game, fighting each and every opponent differently.

This isn't some easy fight to call. I would favor Kovalev 60/40 but for anyone to say it's an easy fight one way or another is sorely mistaken.

Why would you think Kovalev's plan is to rely on his power? Years have passed since he last relied on his punch. He boxes first and foremost, and he is pretty good at it.
