He's going to try and win so he can be recognized as the #1 p4p fighter in the sport of boxing and unify his second weight division. If that bothers you, then oh well.

Us boxing fans, who enjoy the competitiveness of the sport will enjoy 2 of the very best our sport has to offer while you will cry because you are a fighter fan, not a boxing fan.

Ward isn't interested in pleasing the fans. He said so himself. He is only fighting Kovalev because he can't make 168 and HBO won't screen any more of his bumfights at LHW.

He will be like a cornered rat on fight night and will but on a masterclass of what his fans call slick defensive boxing, aka spoiling and fouling, till Krusher nails him and puts them all out of their misery..

why would anyone with an atom sized amount of common sense expect Ward to fight in a way that reduces his chance of winning?

If Kov gets outboxed and loses then he just wasn't good enough to win.

Respectfully, it sounds as if you are criticizing him for doing the bold. Are you?

As a fan would you rather he fight to win or fiight in a way that makes that more difficult?

Ward's definitely not gonna trade shots. That's crazy. It will be an exciting match skill wise.

I don't think he's gonna try to fight dirty. The only time he went out of his way to be a truly dirty fighter was vs. Kessler. In every other fight his 'dirty' tactics wasn't anything that's not normal.

It's gonna be a good fight!

              Spoiler alert.

No way ward trades with kovalev.

Its pot shot dip below the waist move , move the other way , feint , jab , move , feint, slip, clinch , move pot shot , clinch. Rinse and repeat

But imo kovalev ha as the answer.he has the style and charisma to give ward fits.

If he wins with negative tactics, is that enough to put him in P4P top 3 or is excitement a factor when ranking fighters? Discuss..
He'll come to win, whatever approach is required will be used.

I think we'll see more inside work than the last two fights

when fighting a great, straight puncher, its best to fight them on the inside, and not on the outside, because the power is on the end of their shots.

either be all the way in, or all the way out.

well i hope he throws shots when hes inside, if he starts using that head of his hopefully kovalev responds by knocking it clean off on the break
