Despite the rather awkward press conference that was staged this past Tuesday in Los Angeles - Main Events CEO Kathy Duva is certain that on November 19th there

The problem for Ward is, he just can't keep Kovalev off of him. If he moves, Kovalev will cut him off and close the distance and mercilessly brutalize him into the corner. If he comes forward, Kovalev will counter him and drive him back into the ropes and hurt him. If he stands his ground and tries to catch and shoot and slip, he will land on Kovalev but won't be able to take the shots back for long, which will land. If he tries to stand his ground and trade blow for blow, he will get put down on the canvas several times.

will ward come to fight or will he come to spoil?

What do you think wards tactics will be in the kovalev fight if it happens? Do you expect see an exciting fight with both fighters trading shots, or will ward try and spoil the spectacle for the fans who are looking forward to it? If he wins with negative tactics, is that enough to put him in P4P top 3 or is excitement a factor when ranking fighters? Discuss..

Comprimising winning for excitement vs such a formidable and dangerous opponent is not advisable

Is this a real question. Ward is a spoiler, like hopkins. His entire game revolves around nullifying your game, which is basically the definition of a spoiler. He spoils what you plan to do.

You think Ward should trade shots?

yeah i dont expect ward to be the next coming of edwin valero but because its a big fight in front of a big audience, if ward employs his clinch/headbutt style tactics it could be really ugly. Hopefully he does what frampton did against santa cruz, trade it out and make it memorable night for boxing, instead of another nail in the coffin for boxing

I think he will try and cheat for 12 rounds but hopefully the referee will have none of it and remind Ward that spearing in with your head for a clinch, headbutting, holding and punching is not boxing.
