Eddie Hearn turned down Cotto-Brook

Hearn sounded confident of a big fight at 147; if he delivers a Bradley, Garcia, Thurman/Porter then that's better. He said if they can't get one of those fights at 147, they will then talk 154 - what's the problem there?
Brook clearing guys out at 147 before moving up is the best possible path.Comment

If they can get the big fight at 147 then that's their priority, if not then 154.Comment

Surprised an old probably just one fight left Cotto isn't getting more interest by more up & coming guys. Seems like he's ripe for the taking & honestly win or lose you tend to build up your own name by fighting a frequent PPV caliber guy so its pretty much all upside to fight him right now.Comment

wtf.....turned down Cotto? a very beatable older fighter witha huge name?....
I guess they think 154 is too high risk low reward even if they win, because then they would have to fight the Laras, Andrades and Charlos....some of those guys look pretty big.Comment

I would have to actually see Hearn say this and not a tweet from a guy I've never heard of. Hearn stated in at least 10 interviews that he accepted the fight with HBO - at least in terms of interest.
He never heard back about the fight at all to discuss money or anything else.Comment
