  • Comments Thread For: Hearn: Gennady Golovkin Won't Go Below 160 For Kell Brook

As reported earlier, IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (35-0, 24KOs) says he is dead serious about fighting IBO/WBA/IBF middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (34-0, 31KOs).

We know. Only for a nearly 40 year old, retired small welterweight.

If Brook isnt bluffing and he's got "real cojones" like he said in the article, then 3 pounds shouldn't be anything. If you want to fight a 160 pounder, then fight him at 160. You can come in at 157 if you want, COWARD fraud.

Nor should he. Brook has no name and brings no money to anyone aside from a Kahn fight in the UK, and that might even be worthless now.
If he's going to go down in weight, do it for a star like Canelo.

Why would Golovkin even entertain that idea? Brook has domestic level fame. hardly anyone knows him in America, and that's probably because of his poor opposition. His fight with Porter generated a pathetic 661K viewers... He's not big enough for that type of demand.

What he should do is actually fight someone good and prove that he can generate respectable ratings IN AMERICA.

Is 5 pounds a big deal for the baddest man at 160? I thought 154-168 was easy?

                Different networks.
Come to 160, come to 164
                He isn't a draw
                He's not beat anybody
                We're the A side
                He has an ugly style

Always an excuse just stick to fighting your Dominic Wades like you have your entire career, for the rest of your career, you've got 2 dozen nerds on boxingscene that are impressed.

Ward supposedly wanted to fight the 160 pounder, and expected him to be the one to sacrifice all the pounds when Gennady is still fighting at 160 lol. Sorry, Ward is a nobody and if he wanted the fight they'd both have to sacrifice half. Then when Gennady said, id fight you at 160 to expose your bluff, Ward MOVED UP XDD LMAO owned.

ALSO, you really cant say anything if your favorite fighter is Canelo the scared fraud coward. Your comments hold no value, sorry. From now on, I simply can't address your posts.
