That's what I'm saying; Ward thinks he's slick, acting like he's never fought @ LHW. Actually, he's been doing what a lot of fighters do; fight smaller than his natural weight, so that he can have a rehydration size/weight advantage. Since he fought @ LHW as a kid, it's easy for him to go back up to it as a 32 year old.

... he wanted to fight again at 175 like three years ago, but gave up -- he had a good reason perhaps.

you were struggling to make 168 and you tried to fight bums so don't go and lie and say you want to fight the best and money doesn't matter. you were forced into fighting kovalev or you wouldn't be on tv and if money didn't matter why did you demand a 2 million dollar guarantee that killed your career by limiting yor options?

When you've more or less cleaned out the division, you should move up. That's how boxing works.

And I definitely don't buy 'dare to be great' stuff. He tried to fight some bums when he was given the choice. HBO were the ones that said he needs to fight someone with a pulse.

Or you ate your way to 175 in those two years after spending the last decade at 168...that's one factor people here don't count. He stayed at 168 longer than practically anyone else...daring to be great or there isn't shhh left at 168 to do.

Looks like Golovkin's girls are throwing a party in this thread. Use up all that energy girls, you'll have to put your mind to work again to make up another excuse after November 19th.

Moving up to fight Sergey ****ing Kovalev is most certainly daring to be great. Not many tougher tasks in boxing at the moment.
