No WAY should a slick true boxer EVER land only 22% of your punches against a slow plodding, can't cut the ring off boxer.. What fight did you watch????

Canelo and Lara landed almost the same amount of punches. Lara ran! Just count the number of steps he took. I gave up after about 2k.
I guess I was watching the same fight as Jerry Roth, you know the judge who scored the fight 115-113 for Lara. Canelo got the split decision, and i'm not mad at him, because Lara did too much running, but I thought he was landing more, and made Canelo look average:

It was his constant pressure, heavier punching and ability to cut off the ring when necessary that did the business as judges Levi Martinez (117-111) and Dave Moretti (115-113) scored it for Alvarez while Jerry Roth (115-113) had it for Lara. ESPN.com scored the fight 116-112 for Alvarez, the former unified junior middleweight titleholder...

According to CompuBox punch statistics, Alvarez landed 97 of 415 punches (23 percent), including 73 percent of his power shots to the body, and Lara connected on 107 of 386 blows (28 percent).

I scored it 115-113 for Canelo. Those body shots were hurting Lara though. If Lara would of stood more and thrown more he would of probably won the fight.look at Floyd who landed 45% of his punches on Canelo. He stood and side stepped and slipped Canelo punches. Lara threw out a weak jab, then turned around and ran. What pissed me off the most is how Lara called Canelo out! Even right after Canelo just fought. Said he was gonna do this and that!!! I expected him to at least have some BALLZ and back his sht talk up...

I wouldn't of bought that fight. I wouldn't even probably watch it. Ibsee know value in that fight. Wade brings NOTHING to the table but a warm body to punch on.

People are right to say he should be stripped.
You are wrong, Cotto was the first MW champion who was afraid to defend his MW championship at the MW limit.

Mexicans have never been known for bravery and wise choices anyway. There has never been one Mexican war hero. Canyellow is a joke.

I'm pretty convinced that Khan would have beaten Floyd and Pacquiao at this point so Canelo is right here, Khan is one of the best in the game. We all know Floyd ducked him for 2 years straight, and Pacquiao ducked him to fight Bradley again. Speaking of which, Bradley ducked Khan years ago plus JMM ducked him too. It is what it is, that's the reality of the situation.

When Khan is on his game, he's one of elites in the sport so the perceived top fighters are very much aware of that. He's inconsistent and doesn't always perform to his full potential, but when he's on point and focused he's an elite fighter.

The problem with this fight is that we haven't seen Khan fight at this high a weight and he's fighting one of the best at the weight, without taking a tune up. It's a similar scenario to how Floyd made JMM jump up from 135 to 147 without a tune up in some ways.
