It's such a corrupt sport! I don't care if you're a Canelo fan or not, he should be stripped of his titles if he isn't prepared to defend them at the title weight. Simple.

You would think Canelo and his entourage would learn to stfu now. Theres no way to make excuses around a GGG fight sound good.

Wtf is 155 though? Canelo is looking like a damn SMW these days. If they want to keep fighting at their own made up weight class then give up the belt that doesnt belong to you since your not a middlweight. Plain and simple, canelo is acting like a little hoe. Its obvious hes scared of fighting Golovkin at full 160.

Canelo can fight at any weight he wants, but he cannot keep the MW belt if he does not fight GGG at 160, unless of course the WBC decides to protect Canelo.

I don't think he fights him. Ever. He doesn't need the fight, a loss only hurts him. I think he drops the belt and stays at 154.

What team Canelo doesn't realize is that the middleweight division is from anything over 154lbs(even if it's a 1/4 of an ounce) to exactly 160lbs, so at some point he's gonna have to face a fighter that weighs exactly 160lbs.. They talked so much S H I T in the past on how they are willing to face the best & won't duck anyone & right now they are using every excuse in the book to avoid fighting GGG.They even have another fight lined up after this one against Khan..Lets see if he gets stripped.

So: Canelo gets stripped and GGG fights Omar Figueroa at 155 next..

I think it's about the $$$$$ as well! You think GGG would fight at 160 with a 80-20 split on Canelo's favor??? I don't think GGG would take that deal at all. The weight is leverage.

... 80-20 would be the normal split... In case the gate money and the PPV sales are good, Golovkin might even take it...

Still don't understand why folks are so pissed about Nelo's stance. I'm not saying he's right. But, according to how boxing is nowadays, the A-side dictates.

If you trace lineage of the very title Canelo holds, its been fought for multiple at catchweights. Hopkins-DLH, Martinez-Williams, Cotto-Martinez, Canelo-Cotto all come to mind. And to a man, I don't ever recall it being an issue till now.

The biggest problem is ever since Martinez beat Pavlik, its been a natural jr middleweight holding the title. That's why personally, I don't think its the worst thing in the world for this fight not to happen. GGG is established enough to start his own lineage. So its not like he needs Canelo to validate his dominance in the middleweight division.

155 isn't a weight class you dense mother****ers. You want the belt,then defend it at 160 and be a real Middleweight. No wonder people are watching this sport less and less,when we let divas bend the rules that have been in place since before they were even born. Anyone who defends or approves of canelo trying to force a 155 lb catchweight on golovkin is not a real boxing fan. They're nothing more than fake little fanboys who follow whoever happens to be popular at the moment, and they have no respect for the rules,traditions and principles of the sport.
