    Hauser makes himself look ******...

This guy is strange and ****** at the same time.

First he gets quotes from Waddell & Reed reps via Bill King stating that they GAVE Haymon 3X as much as Haymon asked for to start PBC knowing that it would be 5 years before a potential recoup could even be discussed.

Then Hauser later states that PBC is "hemorrhaging" money even though its clear that W&R already expected big losses for the first 5 years.

Then he purposely forgets to leave out the fact that W&R are tieing in Haymon's percentage as collateral for the funding.

Is this guy an idiot or what?

You cant even take any of it seriously. He's acting like Lamont Brewster is broke when he still gets monthly checks from Haymon.

Hauser is making himself look horrible.

"What Hauser doesn't write will be as much of an issue, if not bigger, than what he does. Readers now can only speculate what information he has gained from being part of HBO's team that he is not disclosing that he would have disclosed previously." --Kevin Iole, Yahoo Sports

His series on Haymon really hasn't answered the questions that we have but he has not been unfair to the man. It seems as though he just can't get anyone from Haymon's team to speak to him (not surprising).

His series on the whole USADA thing last year was excellent work. It is pathetic that many posters on this board bashed him relentlessly for it...and for what? to protect mayweather? usada? Haymon? the nevada commission? Which one of these idiots here actually benefits from the aforementioned parties?

Boxing writers in general are lazy..and most of them are bad writers. Hauser is actually a quality writer. With a sport as corrupt as we all acknowledge boxing is, why aren't more writers doing investigative pieces? There are all types of matters that should be looked into. Who else is actually trying besides this man?

Exactly this. We've moved into an era of fans only want to be feed information they agree with. He's Mayweather piece was excellent but due to corruption nothing came of it.

Thomas Hauser is a true reporter and when I see posters calling him a hack I know from there they aren't very intelligent. Real investigative journalist isn't going to shine light on those doing dubious task.

This article has been a good read so far and has stated a lot of valid points. Nothing new has been brought up yet but he has promised an ending that will be worthwhile.

No. Thomas Hauser is a clown. In Floyd's 19 year span and merits find me significant articles from Hauser praising Floyd.

Who else is trying? Dude you'Re livigin under a rock.

Which is exactly why people are criticizing this 'investigation'. There's really no 'there' there. It is just a regurgitation of a bunch known things with a hint of HBO/Ring Magazine mouthpiece added saltiness.

Hauser is a joke of a writer. Comes off as a guy who holds a bitter grudge against Al because he was never in "the know" when it came to his moves in boxing. They state the same crap in every article, every single time out. "Haymon don't like interviews doe, Haymon is mysterious doe, Haymon don't like the cameras doe."

It's all a bunch of nonsense by a bunch of butthurt Top Rank/HBO shill writers who have nothing better to do.
