He may have "awesome" ability but, you still have to fight and beat above average fighters(more then one) to be top ten P4P, dont you?

Bernard Hopkins was #1 lb4lb, beating Robert Allen

At the end of the day, Antwun Echols gave Hopkins his toughest fights whereas Charles Brewer absolutely brutalised Echols (99 out of 100 referee's would of stopped the fight in the second round when Echols was gone, 99 out of 100 referee's would not of stopped the fight in round three when Brewer was fine). Plus Brewer was ROBBED against Ottke. And Byron Mitchell was a very good fighter too, top 20 lb4lb for four years according to American journalists. Plus Mitchell was ROBBED against Ottke.

And Tszyu was lb4lb #1 going into the Hatton fight, according to many.

          You ******.
im choking on the floor almost reading that ****, lol u r 1 crazy mofo if u think hatton has skills 2 compare with the top guys. hatton is a top guy now becos he is good at wot he does & that is brawlin, he is a face first brawler with high workrate, loads of strength & some great stamina etc but no skill whatsoever. he is aggressive & can punch but does not have any skill at all, he relies on pressure & wrestling & fans etc, he has aggressive bodyshots but does not have top skills

LOL!! Anybody who says that Hatton has no skills must be ****ing blind, or just plain ******.

Get the hell off this board, because you have no boxing knowledge. You just do not understand skill.

If you say that Hatton isn't skilled then you just don't see the angles, variation of defence, screw uppercuts etc.

Watch some of his earlier fights and you see him on his toes, feinting and picking his shots - everybody thought Hatton was a wonderful prospect. The guy has some top talent but actually hasn't needed to use it for so many years because he's that dominant!

I'm going to be reporting you to BIGPOPPAPUMP and hopefully you'll be banned. You need help, and I say that in a friendly way.

Now listen ******, as Ricky says in his own words -
It takes a lot more skill to stay on the inside than it does to stay on the outside.

Sorry to but in here cos you 2 seem to be gettin along just fine . Anywho Hatton does have skill. Underestimated skill. But he does'nt by any means have the boxing skill of ...say Floyd, Winky, Calzaghe, Barrera, Hopkins. I could go on but you get the point. Does Hatton have skill? Of course, he would'nt be where he is now with no skills. But he relys more on intent and pressure!!

The same William Joppy who Howard ****ing Eastman would of beaten if he didn't give away the first half of the fight? Trinidad has power, he'd put football players on their ass if he hit them with his left hook. But he's not a natural middleweight FFS, he tried the shoulder roll with Hopkins but just was not strong enough.

Well I could say that Floyd, Winky, Calzaghe, Barrera, Hopkins do not by any means have the boxing skill of Hatton.
