Well, in boxing it can be one who attaches themselves to one particular promoter or network and only supports them and no one else. For instance there are a lot of Top Rank shills who only support Top Rank fighters and never criticize moves made by Bob Arum. They spend all of their time hating on other promoters and networks, such as Al Haymon and Showtime, just because they aren't affiliated with their "set".
oh my god
so, you mean..... the very lowest of the low, immature cretins who have NO real love for the game whatsoever..... ?
imho, those type of people, are the lowest people on the planet.
total oxygen thieves, in the purest sense of that phrase
For over 3 decades, I have flatly refused to support 1 sanctioning body over another, because fragmentation (or, division) is the VERY WORST thing for this (and any other) sport..... and because they are all fatally flawed, with not one of them being definitive.
NOBODY with a half-a-brain should need that explained to them.
So yea, I find it extremely disappointing to see new "fans" supporting 1 turdy sanctioning body over another, they just sound like ignorant clowns to me.
And the new fad of supporting one promoter over another, mainly started with the pacstains and Top Rank..... but now those ******s think that Arum is a cvnt for ripping Manny off LMAO
And now, now we have TV fragmentation..... and now we have modern-day "fans" happily participating in network wars, picking one side over another, to further encourage the fragmentation within boxing.
Fkn insane !
Among knowledgeable long-term fans, promoters have been widely regarded as vultures, and no real boxing fan would support a promoter over a fighter, no matter who that fighter is.
I just applied for a license, authorizing me to machine-gun casual fans, TV networks, and boxing promoters down in the street..... hoping to get the all-clear this week ^^Comment

Yeah, I know Barrera is Kovalev's mando, but Wade is GGG's mando too. So there you have it. Ward beating Barrera SHOULD be about as good a win for him as Wade will be for Golovkin.
We all know it won't be viewed like that though. Go figure.Comment

People probably think I'm thick.
I have little/no interest in who promotes any fighter.
Half of them I don't know, and don't care..... I have never felt it my responsibility as a fan to give a ****, because it is completely irrelevant and has no bearing on anything.
I couldn't give a fk..... and I don't know why anyone else would either.
I often name 2 fighters, and say that would be a great fight..... only to have someone correct me and point out that so-and-so is promoted by *****, meaning that the fight cannot happen, and I was silly for suggesting it LMAO
But now it is my responsibility to stay informed regarding that mindless greedy fcukery?
Greedy corrupt sanctioning organisations who have done nothing but shame the sport of boxing..... greedy corrupt promoters who suck the life out of fighters for their own profit margins..... greedy TV networks who don't give a **** about the sport, just their numbers.
What the hell ?
I consider myself a boxing fan, but I only care about what happens in the ring, nothing else. I'm too old for that other childish nonsense.Comment

If Ward really was top 2 or 3 P4P then him beating a low ranked guy with 17 fights wouldn't mean much at all.
Yeah, I know Barrera is Kovalev's mando, but Wade is GGG's mando too. So there you have it. Ward beating Barrera SHOULD be about as good a win for him as Wade will be for Golovkin.
We all know it won't be viewed like that though. Go figure.
That is a convenient viewpoint.
What if Ward beats Kovalev ?Comment
