The best fighters are in good shape because they work hard. They are powerful, they are conditioned and they are at the top of their game because they put the work in; Clen doesn't give you any performance boost, it is purely a thermogenic, it literally does nothing but drop some lbs. I'm not buying that a HW would choose to use Clen if they are cheating, there are many better alternatives that give you weight loss along with performance enhancement.

Browne only looked better than usual because Chagaev showed up in utterly dreadful shape and was slower, heavier and even more plodding than normal.
So you're suggesting the Russians bribed VADA?

Not sure I'd say the Russians in general, but there's certainly something dubious involved here IMO.

Chagaev gets hurt and the bell rings 40 seconds early, then he gets knocked out and a strange drug test is there to nullify the result....yeah, I'm su****ious.

I hear you. I didn't think Browne was a drugs cheat, but that's just my impression (that he isn't) so this was surprising news to me.

Clenbuterol does actually give you a performance boost in training: it increases aerobic capacity, stimulates central nervous system and oxygen transportation. It's not purely a thermogenic alone, it's technically also a stimulant, although its the thermogenic properties which are associated with it's weight-loss effects.

Again, the fact is that Browne was at the lowest weight of his entire professional career, he's now 36 years old, he has never been that light in any fight, and he just so happens to have tested positive for a weight-loss drug and performance enhancer. The evidence clearly points towards Clenbuterol rather than conspiracy.

It most certainly does not improve training. I can tell you from years of training guys who used Clen (among many other compounds) that the muscle cramps are crippling. You run (or even walk at a decent pace) for 2 minutes and it feels like your calf is going to explode and the increased heart rate can be worrying. It has anabolic properties, but they are not present in the dosage Clen requires.

It doesn't impact your central nervous system either, it's a sympathomimetic drug, it hits the sympathetic nervous system.

Browne had a world title fight and showed up a little lighter than usual, I'd put that down to taking it a bit more seriously, not using a drug that makes little sense given the many, many better alternatives.

Well, you should know that you can avoid the cramps, or mitigate them, with correct scheduling and by taking supplements such as taurine, potassium and magnesium. That's what most people do to counteract any cramping they might experience and it works in the vast majority of cases.

Sounds to me as if it's just wishful thinking on your part by glossing over the fact that he weighed the lightest in his entire career. The fact is his A-sample has tested positive by VADA, not by RUSADA. That sample was provided by Browne directly to a US representative from VADA so this talk of a conspiracy is far-fetched. If it was RUSADA then it might be worth contemplating but it's an external, non-local, entirely impartial agency which is all the more incriminating for Browne in my opinion.

i followed browne for a while and its funny how hes been ranting and raving about his weight, his instagram/twitter is full of pics, all the time he was most likely lying to the public, making out it was diet and training.

shame this has tainted the victory but if its true then the rocky story has died for me, if he gets banned from this he might as well retire, he might be 38 before he can fight again, hes never had a BIG fight either, if hes cheated he doesnt really deserve it imo, ****ing sports piss me off, full of cheaters.

Do you believe professional boxers should be allowed to use the clenbuterol ?

I'm neither a fan nor a critic of Browne but I fail to see what he brings to the division as a plus, that was before any of this, he dethroned Chagaev great but we're all gonna be treated to Chagaev vs Oquendo 2 now, I would much rather have seen that fight out of the way already but I suppose Oquendo was injured anyway.

Hopefully the WBA strips him and Chagaev does not contest the WBA mandating Oquendo vs Ortiz otherwise the division is just gonna be slowed down more.

I couldn't care less what happens to Browne after they take the belt just so long as the WBA moves its elimination process one step closer to Ortiz vs Fury/Klitschko that's an exciting fight.

Taurine and others can reduce cramps, particularly with Dbol and similar compounds. With Clen, no amount of taurine or anything else will allow you to train close to 100% without cramping badly in minutes. Reducing cramping between weight lifting is entirely different to trying to reduce it between high intensity training and boxing work.

I don't care about Browne whatsoever, average fighter and not someone I care to watch fight on a regular basis. However, this entire thing has sounded shady from the get go.
