No wonder boxing is dying. Haymon fanatics have no objections to overpaying these undeserving clowns.

      If HBO refuses, Arum cries.

That is the WHOLE strategy and it is entirely PATHETIC
And you have to pay more to get opponets with fighters with a higher KO % ?

When you run small shows off TV, Do you ever make a profit from a show or is it just to build a fighter up.

opponents want more money to fight a 10-0 9KO guy than they do a 10-0 guy with 3 KOs.

Also, sometimes even height can cost you more money. Its more expensive to match a 6 foot welterweight than it is a 5'7" welter......

Yeah you have to offer what the market dictates and the network will approve.

The Solo Boxeo and Estrella TV series are break even shows... maybe make $5k or lose $5k.

Do you have ONE example of Top Rank "losing millions" by spending their own money?
            You must be new.
Look top Promoters lose lots of money on fighters because before they get exposure on HBO or Showtime they are on smaller cards. They have to build the fighter from nothing. They pay the trainers, the coaches, lawyers, and the fighter. During the entire time the fighter is building his 20-0 record he's still getting paid, even if his fights don't generate any money.

Do some research before sounding like a complete moron.

next to impossible to turn a profit on an off-tv show. 99% of club shows lose money. There are only a few reasons to do small club shows:

              1. You enjoy it, and you have the money to spare

              2. You have fighters you are trying to develop

              3. You have other business interests you are promoting via the shows, like a law practice or dentist, or whatever......

              4. You believe all the lies other promoters tell about how much money they make on club shows. (so then you do one, lose $10k or $20k, and are done lol)

                Solo Boxeo covers that buddy.

And no Top Rank doesn't cover the coaches or lawyers. The fighters management does that along with their purse.

Once again... how does Too Rank "lose millions" again? LOL

Solo boxeo doesn't cover everything you pin head.

Do you think the fighters live off the less than 10k they make for those shows? Fighters have contracts with Promoters which pay then a set amount a year for fights. Often the amount owed is larger than what solo boxeo or other networks offer, leaving the promoter to cover the rest. This of course results in losses. The promoter hopes in time the fighter will be able to recover those loses. Sometimes they do, but many times they don't.

If Promoters didn't lose any money or it was as easy as getting solo and HBO to pay, then everyone would do it.
