Ward has been a light heavy for years now he just takes the 7 pounds off to make weight then jumps back to 175 by dinner weigh in night. He hits the ring the next night for the fight at 180+. He's 6' tall and as an amateur held 178 perfectly, stop all the BS talk about him not being a real light heavy!

Although I disagree with you on Kova and Beterbiev being harder I can understand the sentiment.

But Fonfara. GGG would knock him out at 175. There levels to this and Fonfara isn't on the same level of Kova, GGG, and Beterbiev.

I'm not talking about GGG beating Fonfara @ 175, which I doubt he could, but I'm not sure Ward could beat Fonfara, Beterbiev and Kovalev @ 175.

I think that he will beat Barrera handily, and then look to land Fonfara.

So far, I don't recall Roc Nation dealing with Haymon, but if they do, there are plenty of LHW fights for Ward to choose from. However, I'm not sure Ward will like how LHW power feels. If he was to fight someone before Kovalev, I wouldn't think it would be Fonfara. I could see him fighting Jean Pascal before Kovalev.

... 164 was tongue in cheek -- Ward later agreed that he even has to cut weight in order to make 175... Ward calling GGG out last fall was as ****** a joke as him chasing Murdock and Brand right after that...
