He has lost 1 round in his pro career, because he made an amateurish mistake. Everyone judges him on that round.
The has fought by a country mile the highest level opposition of a current new heavy.
His 15 opponents have clocked up 330 wins at least 6 fighters who had never been stopped before, with 3 world title challengers.
It took wilder 30 fights to get to the same number, it took Mike tyson 26.
He is not ready for Ortiz, Haye or Fury. He has had 15 fights and they are experienced Heavies.
Wilder is not going to last much longer. He is very poor. If he let Joshua in like he has with other fights in the last 3 outings he wouldn't last a round.Comment

He hasnt had the competition yet to really evaluate if he is the saviour.
Only Whyte showed some resistance and he hurt Joshua for a moment. We have to see what he will learn from this experience.
He has height, athleticism and power, throws more than one punch at a time and has a killer instinct.
Until now I am not really sold on his defensive capabilities and his footwork.
We still need to see him perform against opponents who either have good footwork, know how to apply pressure or are slick.
I believe, The Fury from the Klitschko fight would box circles around Anthony at the moment.Comment

There is too much hype around him, sure. I'd like to see more defense and footwork though.
Casuals want to see the KO streak continue and that's all we are going to get until he faces someone who can give what they get. I'd much rather see at least two fights of his next say.... five, completely outclassing his opposition before considering going for a knockout.
Saying that he DOES seem to have a level head and his work ethic is incredible.Comment

Is he overrated?
Yes.
But that's on us as fans - heavyweight boxing has lacked excitement for so long, someone with the potential of AJ suddenly becomes the third coming of Jesus.Comment
