If Charles Marton had no belt, and Joshua fought and beat him, people would say he's knocked over another can, unproven, needs to step up. So the risk to reward for this fight makes perfect sense. Being a gb fighter winning gold at the London Olympics has indeed captured the people's imagination, and why not. He's got age and image on his side (unlike Harrison who was turning pro age 30) and if the hype train derails, he'll have done much more good than harm for his own bank account and British boxing in general
