I'd say, so what if he is? It's bringing casuals on board with the sport again here in the UK, and that's fine with me.

If Charles Marton had no belt, and Joshua fought and beat him, people would say he's knocked over another can, unproven, needs to step up. Now he's got that fight (except with a belt) people are saying he's rushed it? The mandos for ibf are pretty poor anyway, look at welter, jojo Dan, bizier.. So the risk to reward for this fight makes perfect sense. Being a gb fighter winning gold at the London Olympics has indeed captured the people's imagination, and why not. He's got age and image on his side (unlike Harrison who was turning pro age 30) and if the hype train derails, he'll have done much more good than harm for his own bank account and British boxing in general

Joshua is basically what would happen if any of these kids with real and legitimate aspirations of playing in the NBA or the NFL (not pipe dreams like Wilder) took up boxing in their late teens. He's a genuine athlete in a sea of slobs and fatties, and that alone will be enough for him to get by.

Stay bumble and enjoy the ride, m8. Big Josh is the best thing that happened to this ****ty pseudo sport in a long time.

How does Martin deserve a title shot?
Joshua is going to decapitate that big stiff oaf.

depends who you speak to, i suppose. i think sky sports and matchroom are overrating him, but i guess it's their job. he's dangerous for sure, but i think he's pretty deeply flawed too

He won by default. He didn't beat any top ten guy.

He beat Tom Dallas though. Mad props for that.

After Martin is done with him, Joshua will have to take his steroids and go try to be mr universe because it will be clear boxings not for him
