HBO is going to need find out a way to prorate my bill cause I don't like or watch mma at all.

Nobody I know even talks about or watches mma.

I don't think hbo would do good numbers picking up mma in place of boxing.

      Gee, I wonder who wins.

LOL You guys are freaking nuts. UFC averaged 260K PPV buys per card in 2014, the lowest avg since 2006. In 2015 they did better, mostly due to Ronda and Conor. UFC 196 was trending to be the all-time record and Dana White said it did 1.5mm, which means it probably did closer to 1mm (the actual PPV buy rates are unknown). And Conor LOST. LOL. They'll never sniff 1mm buys with Conor again unless it's v Aldo MAYBE.

It's FS1 ratings are no better than your average PBC show. On what planet is UFC "bigger than HBO"?

Fans saying HBO budget for boxing is not broke, then explain this. Oh well. I have HBO for Game of Thrones anyway, I give up on HBO boxing but if they decide to show fights i'll watch.

The UFC is bigger than putting its shows on HBO. It would be like the NHL airing their games on HBO. HBO only serves a niche market for sports. UFC is mainstream.

Yeah, I don't see HBO going the MMA route...with competition from Netflix, HBO is increasing their original programming, not live sports.

Look at the recent John Stewart and Bill Simmons deals.

HBO plans to match Netflix’s 600 hours of original programming

HBO will have 50% more original content in 2016.

The premium cable network, owned by Time Warner Inc., TWX, -0.33% will increase the amount spent on content, upping its global original series hours to around 600, Chief Executive Jeff Bewkes said during a Deutsche Bank conference on Tuesday.
The majority of HBO’s new series from Jon Stewart, Bill Simmons, Vice and Sesame Street, are plays the network hopes will translate well to its digital platforms HBO Go and HBO Now, which don’t require a cable subscription

Crawford would either have to fight bradley(if he beats manny) or some haymon/gbp fighter like danny, khan, etc.. All seem highly unlikely and seems to me that hbo has nothing left in the budget so crawford is getting forced to PPv even though there isn't a major opponent for him
That's the same way I see it.

Bradley wouldn't be ready for July either, even if they decided to fight.

I'm trying to find an opponent and I can't come up with one for ppv.

Postol is not a fight I would buy
Broner would be perfect, but I doubt we see that

Kell brook is the only fight I can maybe see being ppv worthy without haymon fighters.

                    Who are you thinking?

That's the perfect fight for July 23 on ppv.

But they don't have to split anything. Broner doesn't have a network contract. So that fight could happen on hbo with no problem if crawford, arum, broner, and Haymon want it for real.

I would pay 50 bucks for that ppv. With a good Co main event
