hbo is nuts. I get their budget was cut, but they can manage the money better...I mean what was the point of Ortiz-Thompson? Quality fights like Crawford-Postol and Loma-Walters should be priority. And Showtime apparently would rather pay for Provo-Molina than Loma-Walters.

And most boxing fans are liars anyhow, they call for fights by cheap expectations, but how many of them will actually pay for Crawford-Postol?

There is some guy who always talks about Cops & reality show production costs & ratings in PBC threads like network TV should just be 24/7 reality shows & PBC has no reason to exist in that marketplace cuz reality shows are such good investments with low risk & high potential rewards. People tend to like an assortment of programming. Some cats don't like reality shows, some cats don't like HBO original programming. And for sure I think most people don't want 24/7 reality shows or HBO shows. They want choices.

HBO makes 95% of their profits from original programming.

No need to spend on second tier events. It would be entirely different if they did 4 premium fights a year on regular HBO... Kovalev-Ward, GGG-Canelo, Fury-Wilder, Bradley-Pac.

Just 4 premium events with 24/7 would be better than what they have now.
