So you're saying the winner can get back on track and become a contender huh? Do you see the winner being in a competitive fight vs any of the top 10 guys in the div? Thurman, Porter, Danny, spence, khan, Bradley, pac, Brooks, Crawford..to name a few. In reality these are 2 of my favorite fighters, but I'm a realistic fan and their better days are behind them

The winner of Berto-Ortiz II gets fed to Danny Garcia, in a bigtime scrap, in Philadelphia (why Philly doesn't host more big fights is beyond me) come June/July [PBC on FOX/NBC/CBS would be the most logical platforms].So you're saying the winner can get back on track and become a contender huh? Neither guy beats Danny Garcia, but they'd both make for good fights.Comment

I can see Berto and Ortiz being very competitive against Spence, Garcia, and Porter. Neither Berto or Ortiz are elite, but both have speed and power in both hands, and both have a lot of big fight experience. So you're saying the winner can get back on track and become a contender huh? I don't get the hate for this fight. These guys are at the same point in their careers, where this is probably their last shot at a big fight if they lose. Their first fight was a war (years ago), who knows maybe it will happen again.
It's a 50/50 fight IMO.Comment

The first fight was checkmarked by Manny Steward's "OH MY GOD!" after the comeback knockdown.
It is cemented firmly in the minds of those who know sh... about boxing. But for those MF'ers that don't, I'm a nice guy. Mind you, I don't see this excitement in the rematch.
As far as the article goes...I take issue with this line.
You mean QUITS. Rightfully so against Lopez, but against Collazo, if I recall that was a TKO not a stoppage. Because Ortiz basically ran into the ropes and then took a dive. Quit.Originally posted by BoxingSceneThe setback kicked off a stretch of three straight losses for Ortiz, suffering stoppage defeats at the hands of Josesito Lopez and Luis Collazo.Comment
