Comments Thread For: Berto-Ortiz II Part of Loaded Fox, Showtime Night on 4/30

Fittingly in alignment with Showtime announcing its loaded spring schedule, more dates have begun to seep out from the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) side. The latest reveals the second installment of PBC on free-to-air Fox, topped by a rematch between former welterweight titlists Andre Berto and Victor Ortiz on April 30 at StubHub Center in Carson, California.

Aw hell yeah. I don't care if they're past it, or if the fight should've happened again years ago, or that there's no titles at stake. This could still be WAR. :box2:

And, a good consolation prize for never getting Maidana-Ortiz II.

Pointless ass fight. I'm sure nobody even remembers they fought once before. That said, I got berto by making Ortiz quit

Pfff... Why would boxing fans suddenly forget the 2011 FOTY.

What else are they supposed to do besides retire?

            Oh my god.
In 2012 it would actually be a huge fight.

            Now?
Ortiz has gone 2-2, best win - Gilberto Sanchez Leon, Berto 2-3, knocked out by Soto Karass.

            Joke with no punchline needed.

Pointless fight as neither is truly a contender, but if you're the type to get excited for provo-Molina jr, you should also get excited this. What gives out first- berto's chin or ortiz's heart. We shall see

Interesting fight. Definitely a cross roads matchup. The winner of the fight probably gets a title shot I bet and the loser will probably be a glorified Gate Keeper.

These guys have had a lot of highs and lows in their careers. Early money is on Ortiz but I would bet on either.

nice matchup...there's fights out there that need no stakes on the line, just an entertaining scrap between 2 well known fighters...this is one of them along with ProvoMolina....I'm beginning to think some of y'all would rather watch the top guys against unknown bums
