Now I don't know how Cliff Rold views boxing compared to the super fit Dan Rafael, but aside from excuses about ticket sales, that's not just the sole essence of Pro Boxing. I'm sorry it's not. Some could exaggerate and say Rigo is bad for boxing because of some mishaps but the guy has proved how phenomenal he is. I don't know anybody in boxing as slick as him atm, where he glides with a jab and moves swiftly meters away controlling the pace like he's on some quick hover board.

Other real analysts and empirical merit clear shows who is p4p. Put it this way, is Frampton ahead of Rigo in p4p listings? It's clear and present danger what Rigo could do to Frampton's image. Which is why I believe McGuigan and Warren are happy Rigo did not debut in the UK. We can't assume how Rigo woukd have performed. We just can't. And again, Frampton vs Quigg wasn't all that impressive until the late rounds.
Ticket sales aren't everything, but they sure do amount for most of things. Rigo being "bad for boxing" is a bit much, but Rigo hasn't done himself any favors with his negative on negative style (and the rumors about the type of money that Rigo has walked away from, to take on fights, don't help either).

Pro boxing isn't Olympic boxing; the prize doesn't simply go to the guy who wins. Barry McGuigan understands that, even better than Frampton seems to understand it.

Frampton-Quigg wasn't a barnburner fight, and it didn't need to be, tbh; the fight sold out almost instantly, likely did massive business of Sky Box Office and, after starting off, closed with 5 hotly contested rounds (having the general public remembering a far more even fight). They didn't get the double-shot that was likely dreamed of, but Quigg is a pair of good victories (or even one big victory) away from everyone cashing in again on a rematch.

Rigo has fought the same way throughout his entire amateur career; to assume that Rigondeaux would fight any different is laughable.

Wasn't the only way for the Rigo mando was for Rigo to get through Jazza ****ens?
If you had 1/2 a brain, you would be dangerous.
Frampton-Quigg winner has to fight Rigo.
Rigo's stay busy fight that his own team ****ed up has nothing to do with the WBA belt at 122lbs

Did you have a point? Clearly behind the scenes politics is not for you. Just turn on the tele and leave it at that.

The Rigondeaux-****ens cancellation was Rigonedeaux's teams fault.
