I agree.

He is not a top contender, and he agreed to a cw of 163 anyway.

But, he is within his rights to refuse.

The issue is, both respective camps must be a bit miffed with their fighters, nobody will get paid 1 red cent..... Lemieux should have made weight, so this situation is completely on him, but Team De La Rosa won't get paid 1 red cent either.

Turns out they offered $3,000 and then after that a percentage but Rosa was having it.

Yup offered three grand. An said that David wouldn't try to lose any weight

The replacement opponent sounds a lot better than Dela Rosa. Ntetu is an undefeated SMW.

no man he doesn't, i like David but Dela Rosa at least had experience on the big stage... but looking at Ntetu on boxrec he looks like he wouldn't do well at all based on his competition and the fact that it is a one day notice.

De la Rosa looks dumb here. He was not even the B side he was the C or D side in this fight. He was not expected to win and it was a easy showcase fight for David Lemieux. Meaning De La Rosa was going to lose anyway. And Lemieux was only a few pounds over weight for a NON Title fight. Why not work with them and just take extra money so the fight goes on? Instead now it looks like Lemiuex camp has a replacement already lined up and will still fight and De La Rosa gets NOTHING. I feel bad for his trainers and people in his camp now they ain't getting paid.
