I dont get it, when i hear him speak, he sounds ******ed, his PR team clearly told him to speak slower so american's could understand him.
I honestly think one of the reason's he's so popular is simply... because he is irish.
I think american's love that whole ' omg the accent ' thing, not to mention a ton of them want to be irish, i mean the whole of boston basically pretends they are irish

It's funny hearing him after he got put to sleep 'humble in victory, humble in defeat'
when the *** where you EVER humble?
he is basically the total opposite of humble.

like i was saying before he's basically a cardboard cutout of the 21st century ' arrogant charismatic fighter '

    sunglasses indoors: check
i will knock him out, im the best fighter ever etc: check
im really rich and have loads of money: check
insulting your opponents with school boy jibes: check

    lame.

I actually find McGregor quite funny and intelligent. He's nowhere near as good a fighter as he believes he is and not as good as many of his fans believe him to be. But he's a solid fighter and I like the bravado. He's added energy into the UFC and he's their biggest star now that Rhonda has fallen off.

At least he's not crashing press conferences dressed as Batman like Tyson Fury is lol.

that's cool, i just think he is basically summed up by your avatar, it's kind of a sad representation of our time's. having loads of money and bragging about it = successful, nevermind if you are ACTUALLY charismatic, just be loud and arrogant and people will think you are.

I mean would Ali ever be seen in a picture like that?

We need both. But arrogant looks better on elites, humble looks better on lesser fighters. If you can back it up, talk all you want.

Like Khan should act/talk like Ward, and Ward should act/talk like Khan.

I like both. Boxing needs a good mixture of both. But more importantly, I like it when a fighter is just himself

Whichever guy is true to whichever stance and whoever is better.

So i always feel most guys who are in sports are not humble, they don't have the ability to work so hard just to not be arrogant in some way. So lets say Shane, he's not outwardly arrogant but more of a relaxed and nice guy....for years i loved to see him fight. Floyd was arrogant to be arrogant and it was fun to see him make the build-up interesting. So its just silly to let someones POV and feelings of themselves sell you short in terms of a fight.

My issue is the lack of graciousness for the sport however.....Floyd is gracious in victory and doesn't knock the guy down when they've lost as opposed to Broner who is classless in, out and all over the ring.
