And you guys were slurping off Floyd something crucial when he beat Canelo in one of the biggest fights of all time and yet cry that Golovkin is trying to fight him in the weight class that both fighters have belts in and instead demand he moves up to 168 to fight mythical legends that don't even exist there anymore.
a make believe bet is nice...but as a fan all i want to see is him fight decent competition...the same thing expected out of everyone else who is hyped on his level

is it not weak for all the hype...top 3 p4p? yes or no? Be honest...if you cant just STFU

By the time Mayweather had 34 fights and was ten years in his career he defeated 9 world titleholders and was lineal champion at 130...8 defenses....lineal at 135...3 defenses....and dominated Gatti for a third title at 140

Now compare that to GGG's resume....Mayweather was a coward, ducked this person, that person but has a better resume....deal with it

If you dont like Mayweather style or personality...thats cool, but he was actually proven and put in a lot of work by his 34th fight and got heavily criticized by the media and fans...while LIL G cant carry his jock strap and gets praised for ko'ing no names.....Only one seems to be slurping is you, and you need to wipe your face.

Why do you care how popular Gennady is or isn't? Why does it bother you so much that you create 100 threads about his resume alone?

      By the time Mayweather
Uh and here it is! Somehow this goes back to Mayweather!! Shocking!

Who has ever said Golovkin has a better resume than Floyd? Who was comparing Floyd's resume to GGG's??!?! Who said Gennady accomplished more than Floyd? No one, ever. You're inventing reasons to be upset or trying to rationalize your behavior based on a false reality. You're somehow jealous that Gennady is popular in 2016 when in your mind Floyd was treated poorly and disrespected by SOME people. You realize that Floyd made more money than any other athlete, ever, right? You realize he's going down one of the GOATs right? He's a first ballot hall of famer. So why you worried about some hype behind Golovkin, isn't that good for the sport, to have fans excited about a fighter? Get you're priorities straight man, jesus christ.

If you dont like Mayweather style or personality...thats cool, but he was actually proven and put in a lot of work by his 34th fight and got heavily criticized by the media and fans...
Why are you talking so much about Mayweather? WTF does he have to do with Golovkin? You're making **** up man, upset that Floyd got criticized by some people throughout his career so that makes you angry at Golovkin? LOL

when Mayweather couldnt get fights with Casamayor and Freitas, he moved up and fought the more dangerous Jose Luis Castillo at 135....when Kostya Tsyzu wouldnt fight him he fought Gatti and chased DLH....THATS WHAT GREAT FIGHTERS DO...THEY MAKE AND TAKE OPPORTUNITIES

        proof is in the pudding

Every good fighter in history has been asked to move up and in his case it would benefit him.

how can you compare floyd to ggg? they didn't start on an equal playing field. floyd was american and every single one of his pro fights was on american tv. ggg is from kazakhstan and didn't get on american tv till 3 years ago or so and the only reason he got on american tv was because people took notice that he was destroying everyone and willing to fight anyone(like pirog) if ggg fought in a boring methodical manner he would never have been on american tv. it didn't matter how floyd fought, he was getting fights period due to his status/nationality. ggg had to work extra hard and fight a certain way just to put himself into position to get fights. of course this took longer than an american who was prepped for stardom even before he turned pro. trying to compare the 2 is throwing out every single factor that exists in boxing/life. in other words fail.

He has options...He can fight Lara, Jacobs, or move up. DeGale and Jack wouldnt run from him. GGG VS Abraham would be huge in Germany.

that nobody wants to fight him excuse is getting old. Especially considering so many fighers in history who were "ducked" and "avoided" decided to move up, or move down or change what country they fought in for opportunities

HBO and K2 are making money whether he fights good competition or not....the bad thing is, fans are getting a little restless.
Is there a point to this thread any different from the other half dozen each day reminding us that Gennas resume is lacking?

Everybody knows this, and yes, both fans and those who are less so want him to fight better opposition. The only real difference is some will argue that the lack of top opposition on his resume is a result of a deliberate policy to protect him (and his marketabilty) - these are the folk that call him a coward or the suchlike, whereas others will point to reasons such as the apparent unwillingness of some other fighters to get in the ring with him, or the high risk /low reward trap in which he's found himself.

Either way it's all getting rather tiresome IMO. Move along folks.

lol again more Mayweather! Stop comparing 130/135 pound fighters who turned pro at 18 and moving up in weight as they grow to grown as men fighting at middleweight. We don't have to go down the whole Marvin Hagler, et al argument again do we? It's like you have amnesia; you make the same threads, the same posts and the same arguments over and over and over. Broken clock.

i see you are not operating in reality. he never tried to fight casamayor or freitas. calling them out...and then never attempting to make the fights is not trying to fight them. ggg offered guys career high paydays, became mandatory, put pressure on fighters, etc...to get them to fight him. floyd did nothing. also the reason floyd moved up and ggg didn't is because his body was still growing. ggg used to fight at 140 at the same age when floyd turned pro at 130. ggg already did his moving up except we didn't see it. once again another terrible comparison that ignores all factors. sure he could move up a division for a super fight but he tried that and froch/ward turned him down, now that he is scheduled to fight canelo you want him to fight ward? great decision...lol. you want him to move up for degale or something? that seems kinda silly but sure why not.

im not reading that bull ****...anyone who was around know he was trying to get certain fights made but Bob Arum wouldnt...why do you think he fought Cotto and DLH as soon as they were free agents or you are just acting ******ed

GGG resume sucks and its a lot of people that feel that way in consideration to his hype.

                      To summarize this thread:

                      -Golovkin sucks
                      -Floyd
-It's Golovkin's fault for being "A-side" and not taking a 50/50 with Ward in late 2016
                      -It'a shame that Canelo's asking for 155, but he's A-side.
                      -It's Golovkin's fault for not taking 155.
-Golovkin is now asian, despite looking like a white guy, living in a former Soviet country and having Russian as his main language. Next week - he's Filipino.
-Golovkin should give up his belts and move up, right this second. Because that's what Floyd did. Because SMW is full of great fighters with whom he can get a fight easily.
                      -Lara doe
                      -Floyd
