Why did Showtime pay al Haymon more money for Santa Cruz fight and Jacobs fights, combined didn't even get to 600k?
Who do you even put up with a sport that you apparently hate so much? You always seem to be wishing for boxing's downfall for some reason. Why put so much effort into it?

LOL is there ever some result that people don't suggest is the beginning of the end for something in boxing???

Boxing fans are more dramatic than my hypochondriac aunt when she's around someone with the flu.

It's not a good number, but it had competition from Showtime and the UFC.

            That's HORRIBLE for HBO boxing.

Expect more budget cuts in 2017.
            Why would that be?

Just because they did less than 800K views doesn't mean they didn't make a profit. If they are making profits, then it'd be dumb to expect a budget cut.

Some of these dudes have serious issues in real life that they need to sort out. I couldn't imagine what people like him and Courage Award look like. Triple chin cheeto finger having asses...

Why spend so much time trolling a boxing forum?

That's not really a bad number imo. There was also a Showtime card, a UFC PPV, and a NBA game on last night.

It just had upsets that's all. No one was saying it was going to be one of the most exciting, so a mass amount of people didn't just buy because they knew. In hindsight it was exciting because the unexpected happened. If a popular boxing card would have had upsets in both the main event and co main event, boxing fans would be saying that 'boxing is alive again', and 'that's what boxing is all about', and 'this is the best fighting the best', 'no divas', 'we won'. Boxing rules allow for the favorite to win, more times than not. Boxing is all about who follows the rules to their styles advantage. This is just a knee jerk reaction. In boxing if you relatively suck at the top level, you suck 9 out of 10 times, with one big upset your whole life. In MMA if you relatively suck at the top level, good news you're in luck, you're one punch away, or a choke away from winning that title. Being washed up and out of shape in boxing is way worse than being washed up and out of shape in MMA.

There's no such thing as a similarly sized fighter getting off the couch with 10 days notice and beating Andre Ward, Sergey Kovalev, Roman Gonzalez, Guillermo Rigondeaux or Gennady Golovkin in boxing. No such luck, no matter who you are.
