I would have loved to see Floyd put Khan in his place.

I don't believe there is a universe that exists in which Khan beats Mayweather. I was merely speculating on Mayweather's motives for ducking Khan and how it could be perceived. For example, you seem to agree with what I said first, that Mayweather is petty and childish in that he'd rather spite Khan and disrespect his own fans than as you say give Khan a pay day. That's the best case scenario here.

Again, not a good look for a grown man.

I personally feel Floyd doesn't like Khan at all and would rather not give him the payday. If you truly feel he was scared, of Khan of all people, I'm afraid you just DKSAB.
If the hype and emotion is laid aside, it doesn't take a fan of Khan to see that he was avoided on the basis of being risky. Styles make fights and while FMJ likely had the handling of him, it was all about risk management, Floyd and his team had to have the X,Y &Z on opponents down to a T.
Anyone who believes Berto drew bigger numbers than a Khan fight would have are dreaming and tripping when they wake up. No-one ever talked their way out of a fight by talking up a fight. Believing the Ellerbe blurb is to suck on the mainstream vacuous teat. If the fight was clearly winnable, they'd have snapped that **** up. Facts before hype. And you ain't got to believe Khan was gonna win it, you only need to think in terms of risk... and Berto had shopworn plus speed discount written all over him.
Floyd multiplied his incredible skill and dedication with second to none risk management and assessment. That was the winning combination, clear as day.

Let me guess..........."Huh Duh Speed Duh."

Like I said, been boxing for over 10 years, no other redeeming skill-set that he posses.

Still the fact that Berto has done more at welterweight than Khan should tell you the real reason May did what he did to Khan. I mean, you think it is a coincidence that Berto comes from the same gym as Khan?

very good excuse. berto was beating khan easily in sparring. A. mares confirmed the khan could'nt handle berto's speed and power. is that good enough ?

At best, Mayweather comes across petty and childish towards Khan but also disrespectful and dismissive towards his fans who chose Khan over Maidana.

At worst, Mayweather appears scared of Khan for reasons only known to him.

Either way it's not a great look for someone of his talent.
Maidana won 3 out of 4 polls that were up.

Maidana was the WBA champion and Floyd the WBC champion. Hence a unification being a solid selling point. Khan was a......yeah

Maidana was coming straight out of his best win in his career and a contender for fight of the year, and had beaten Floyd's previous undefeated multy division champ of a lil bro, Adrien Broner.

Maidana was hyped to be the ******nite to Floyd's style because of what he did to Broner.

Maidana was the obvious choice for all the reasons above. Yawl shouldn't be willing to sacrifice your intellect just to satiate your hate towards someone. Seriously, why you guys choose to look ****** just to satisfy your insignifant hate is beyond me.

Anyone with a brain knows Maidana was the best choice both competetively and from a marketing standpoint, at least in foresight.

The worst thing about the whole thing is that yawl would have been crying about Mayweather ducking Maidana if he'd chosen Khan. And if he'd chosen to fight Khan instead of rematching Maidana, yawl would have been crying that he ducked a rematch with Maidana. In fact, yawl would have loved it if he didn't rematch the guy so that you can continue to pretend that Maidana actually won the first fight and Floyd was too scared to 'lose again'.
