Maybe he doesn't think he can win at 155. He feels if he loses that will derail all the momentum he has built up to this point.

It's the same mentality that makes him willing to fight Degale or Jack at 168 but not Andre Ward.

I think he knows he can't win at 155. He'd be drained dry. He's never weighed in under 159 his whole 10 year career.

Golovkin beats the crap out of Canelo and knocks him out at 160.

Canelo will never fight him at 160 IMO.

I'm done dealing with these ******s, they're predicting what is going to happen exactly, who politics favor, using past examples of similar situations and saying facts. I have nothing else to say other than hurl insults and swing my purse around in defense of my man Gennady Golovkin. I am hereby removing myself from this conversation since I can not actually have a normal conversation that consists of facts, only my opinions of Canelo's manhood and questioning his supporters intelligence because i'm a ****ing female neanderthal who is in love with Gennady

        Peace ya'll.

He can, but it would be much closer than if it were are 160.

In any circumstance I believe both are capable of beating the other.

Before anything else he needs to do the sport a favor and strip this disgrace of a champ

Wouldn't he be drained even more dry at 154? Yet he was willing to drop to that weight for Floyd.

Once again it's that mentality showing up:
Yes to Degale or Badou Jack at 168. No to Ward at 168.
Yes to Floyd at 154. No to Canelo at 155.

It seems like he only wants to take a risk when he thinks he's got the victory in the bag. If there is a decent chance of him losing then he doesn't want any part of it.

I think he was willing to go down to 154 for the fame and money. Beating Floyd, one of the best fighters of this era, means a lot more to him than draining down to 155 to fight Canelo. Canelo isn't anywhere near one of the best of this era at the moment.

That shows a lot of confidence, if lineal unified 2x champ is a gimme at 154, and Degale,Jack, Wards best win Froch are gimmes at 168. There's probably nobody else in boxing with that range of dominance nowadays
