This is in the legacy of Mayweather vs Pac. Everyone now is trying to marinate a potential superfight to see if they can build anticipation and come close to the money Pac and Floyd made.

It's quotes like this that make me feel, once again, that their sparring session has had a prolonged effect on Canelo. Make out from the reports what you will, but for someone who was the one asking Oscar for the fighters that no one wanted at the same in Trout and Lara, he's suddenly become more reluctant to take on this challenge. I understand how hard of a fight it would be for Canelo, but his tune has completely changed.

I'll never understand why fans are concerned with promoters cashing in. There is no need to wait on this fight. BOTH fighters are "Named" fighters. This is the biggest fight in the sport to make only ahead of Ward-Kovalev. The argument that GGG needs to fight name to get a big fight died in 2014. He IS the name now. They scared.

I'm a businessman, and I'm looking at it from that perspective. If Genady loses to Canelo, his stock is garbage because he's never beaten anyone with a name. If he gets a mentionable win, not only does he protect against that but the entire fight becomes bigger, more profitable, and better for the sport.

Fans are like children that want their desert before their dinner. Make it a true superfight and the sport benefits and grows.

And I expect him to continue fighting shty unworthy boxers. He might gets belts but I PROMISE you he will NEVER get in the boxing Hall Of Fame unless he buys a ticket or sneaks in with his shty resume. Sure he might get a couple of records.
