GGG situation was much more cowardly, he was willing to fight anyone at 168 apart from Ward. At least Canelo isn't taking fights at 160 and only making Lil G move down.

But more importantly, Canelo is Wbc/lineal MW champ. He's insisting on 155 for mando/unification. Never been done before, record book stuff

Canelo has now officially lost me as a fan. And I used to be a huge fan of his. His BS and straight up ducking of GGG is pathetic. Only the most blind and biased of Canelo fans/GGG haters can support him in this. He is holding a middleweight belt, refuses to give it up, calls himself the middleweight champion, advertises this fight as for THE middleweight championship, yet the minute the issue of GGG is raised it's 'uh I'm not a middleweight, I won't make concessions .'
Just give up the damn belt dude.
I can't remember a top mexican star who claims to be willing to fight all comers being so cowardly when it comes to a particular fighter.

I was critical of GGG for the Ward situation but Canelo is much more cowardly. A middleweight champion who only fights people smaller than him is pathetic.

Does he have any belts at super middleweight? has he ever fought at Super middleweight? Ward is naturally a lot bigger than GGG, and is now moving up in weight. Canelo is a natural middleweight, fight night he weights more than 160 pounds.

"He's fighting at 155 which is middleweight" true but little G has also fought above 160 if you check his record. What's different is one was willing to fight other fighters at a higher weight and asked for a CW for one guy.
GGG ducks one fighter, Canelo ducks anyone he doesnt have a size advantage on, he's more cowardly imo

Nelow fighting a bloated ww in his next fight. How much of a diva does he want to be?
Rjj wasn't a heavyweight, khans not a middleweight!
Nelo is not top ten p4p currently but when he fought Floyd he wasn't top 20! So he's going in the right direction. If he were to beat GGG at 160 he would be top 10 p4p.
What's up with today's boxers? Doesn't nelo want credit?Last edited by hugh grant; 03-02-2016, 05:28 AM.

Can anyone explain to me how/why the liner MW champion of the world can demand that he doesn't face anyone at the MW limit? Seriously, how do you explain that?
