Whether sanctioned or not. Not a title fight. Ortiz not deserving of the title of champion. WBA is ridiculous...

Thompson hasn't exactly fought duds the last 5 years. Klitschko, Price twice, Pulev, Takam, Scott, Solis twice... Cut the guy some slack he hasn't exactly taken any easy fights. How is Ortiz a sharp KO puncher? What because he Ko'd Bryant Jennings? Bowie Tupou knocked him down too. Who else has he brutally KO'd before roids? He has 21 Ko's with the best being a washed up Monte Barrett or Zack Page. It's not like he brutally Ko's anyone of note. How many Thompson fights have you actually watched?

First of all Chagaev & Ortiz are NOT world champions. To say Thompson doesn't deserve it more then that clown Vindondo or Kayode whom Ortiz fought to claim this farce title is pretty unfair. At least Thompson fights decent competition. Who did Kayode or Vindondo fight to deserve it? The WBA is a joke & should be embarrassed with the way they run their organization. Giving Oquendo a bye in the tourney instead of the Fury/Klitschko rematch winner is a disgrace. To not allow Thompson a chance at this farce title is a joke. What were Kayode & Vidondo's rankings? They didn't have one...

I would like nothing more then to see Thompson give himself a reason to break his wife's hip again by knocking out that drug cheat Ortiz. Look at him in the 12 fights I have. He was pretty slow & wasn't very fit. A whole lot of roids helped him. Ortiz is lucky he even got to fight for a farce title. That was GBP paying for his ranking. He has beat 1 B level HW in Jennings who is a lot smaller & has no power. Jennings won a few rounds but Ortiz showed some skill. Let's see him fight more guys. Thompson is a 6'5 250 southpaw who will come to fight. Let's see if Ortiz can knock Thompson out. Thompson is slow but he will throw some punches. I could see Thompson beating Ustinov...

Like I said, he's a 44 year old taking a fight on short notice and coming off a loss to Scott. The reason he fights so many top guys is b/c he's generally an easy win. The only reason he's still around is he's been able to milk those David Price wins.

Ortiz just brutalized a Bryant Jennings who pushed Wlad over 12 rounds. Even with a full camp, this fight would be an execution.

You get a Silver Title Fight! You get a Gold title fight! YOU GET A PLATINUM TITLE FIGHT!

Sit down, Tony. You don't get anything.

Ortiz had a rediculasly short ban.

At his age I'd have life banned him.

Interesting take, but are you going to give Ortiz credit if/once he blasts Tony out or make excuses about the victory?
