HBO'S budget in 2016... less than $25 million.

When you compare $25 million to the rest of the sports landscape this is VERY tiny.

It's a great thing for boxers that Haymon created PBC. Much better potential to earn.

No more $15k main event purses on ESPN Friday Night Fights as well. That was embarrassingly low.

HBO used to have a $100 million budget in 1999.

Boxing might be the only sport in the entire world were license fees have actually decreased. That is embarrassing... thanks to old guys like Arum.

This is terrible and bad for boxing as good fights are being turned down

It's not surprising to anybody and has been happening for a very long time now. Nothing new.

          Nope.

It was cut by $15 million in 2010 according to Hauser.

Compared to what it was in 1999, it's not that dramatic a cut. But yeah, it's bad since it's shrinking every year. I see you're basking in it.

It's been 30 million something for awhile.

Yep... $24 million to share for all the "top promoters" and fighters outside of PBC is TINY.

I think this means Bob is going to have to go to ppv and stack the cards. Remember he tried to do a ppb with Roman headlining

                    Think about it:

                    Canelo/GGG
                    Ward/Kovalev
                    Crawford/Postol

                    Then what??? Scary isn't it.
