Do you dislike Jim Lampley and Max Kellerman? I find them artificial, too formal, etc

While I agree Lampley can be a "company man" I still like him. Incredible passion for the sport

Max on the other hand, I don't like and I don't know how to describe it. He tries too hard I guess

I really like the HBO crew. I think they're a good mix. I don't get why some of you guys hate them so much, but to each their own.

I can't recall specifics but I know there has been interviews where Max does try and say street words but he puts a hard emphasis on the syllables so he does sound like the stereotypical white person saying ****** slang.

Hell no! Merchant doesn't even know where he is half the time!

Put this way, if I could take a commentator to the bar to watch a fight I'd take Bernstein.

I don't like when Lampley just favors one fighter. I good with Max. Don't like the British announcers from the Quigg/Frampton fight. The inject unnecessary opinionated drama, like they know what the fighter is thinking.

I actually agree that Bernstein is the best commentator. Sadly, he has the other 2 members of that broadcast team that I can't stand. But Al is great.

Lampley is horrible. Kellerman is good. I enjoy Kellerman because he seems like a true boxing fan/historian.

It's a mixture, like he's trying to sound like a "wordsmith"/rapper and overpronounces 5 syllable words in that exaggerated accent but he still sounds so nerdy.

                  You described Max succinctly.
