Do you dislike Jim Lampley and Max Kellerman? I find them artificial, too formal, etc

Lampley is a legend so I don't mind his company man attitude these days but Kellerman has always been annoying and he doesn't ask any questions worth a damn. Bring back Merchant!

They have to dumb down their commentary for the audience which is largely casual.

No...and there are boxers like Bobby Chaz, an autodidact, who has an IQ of over 160. They do expect them to be able to technically analyze situations and various fighters....Want an example, Paulie M. In a recent broadcast he made the point that one can "hook with a hooker, but not jab with a jabber." Or Roy ones, or Al Beirnstein.

Boxers today are not limited educationally. That is a throwback to an earlier time, you might as well call baseball players all a bunch of lowlifes because, in the early days they usually were!

I found that the commentators on the networks in USA talk too much off topic things over the fight. They tend to distract from the action talking about other things such as fighters back stories instead of the play by play of whats happening in the ring, sometimes it can go on for 30 seconds or more during a round.

I think the British commentary is the right balance, but they tend to be too biased at times.

Did someone just say Max Kellerman tries to act "street"?

I was watching Bradley-Rios and the commentary was annoying. They talk too damn much. Lampley is showy with his vocabulary and Max talks like he's got a stick up his ass in an unnatural baritone voice.
I like Max, you can tell he has a deep passion for the sport. Plus I like the big words he uses.

Lampley is HORRIBLE. Fire him any day and I'm happy.

I like how max sometimes tries to hard and makes up stuff and when Roy tells him thats not true. He defends himself and then roy hits him with the "your not a boxer"

They should have two boxers instead of one. Kellerman really doesn't understand what he's looking.
