If Danny Jacobs Beat Golovkin = One of The Greatest Comeback Stories Ever?

July 2010: Lost to Pirog by KO.
May 2011: Diagnosed with life-threatening bone cancer and undergoes treatment.
Oct 2012: Returns to the ring with 1st round KO.
Aug 2013: Captures WBC Continental title.
Aug 2014: Captures vacant WBA (regular) 160 Title
Apr 2015: Wins first title defence vs Caleb Traux TKO 12.
Aug 2015: Wins second title defence vs Sergio Mora KO 2.
Dec 2015: Wins third title defence vs Peter Quillin KO 1.

??? 2016: Captures WBA (super), IBF, IBO titles vs Gennady Golovkin.... ?

    Imagine that..

Would it be one of the greatest comeback stories ever in boxing?

It would be but he has to get in the ring with him first though.

I don't really rate Jacobs as a fighter but if he managed to pull it off, then yes, one of the best comebacks ever.

It would be a hell of a story and Danny would ironically probably be a bigger star after he beat Golovkin than Golovkin is now.

That said, I think Andy Lee might beat him in June.

Jacobs has never given any indication that he would even consider fighting golovkin

Pretty much none-what so ever, even though it'd be his biggest payday by far.

Could you imagine how hard Danny would cheer-lead for a shot at Wade if he were to pull the upset?

The only thing I recall Jacob's saying when asked about fighting Golovkin is that he "wants to get paid."

I'm not even sure what he means, does he think he people expect him to fight GGG for free? Or maybe he's getting ready to price himself out.

                  Possibly.

But sadly his chin doesn't have a chance.

He will not beat GGG, he has no chin zero.
If Sergio Mora dropped him a triple G jab should do the trick.
