      Welcome to my ignore list.

Resume wise, it doesn't take a genius to notice how finely polished Povetkin is.. in his pro and amateur career.

No one spoon feed this troll

I really don't know how you pretend to be unbiased here

You list what you think Povetkin's flaws are, but Wilder is only 'bigger, faster, stronger'

Povetkin's defence isn't great, but its far from poor. His flaws have only been exposed when he was out of shape, or fighting Wladimir Klitschko. He hits very hard, boxes and moves pretty well, and counter punches with authority. Where he lacks, is he's not very good on the back foot, against faster opponents, but this won't be a problem with the bigger Wilder as the fight SHOULD be fought mid to close range, where the Windmills won't be effective.

Wilder is obviously bigger, and can also hit. Despite the lack of an effective jab (was only apparent against a very slow Stiverne), he keeps distance very well in spurts. But his technique is seriously lacking, and Spzilka, a seriously limited opponent, showed how a smaller opponent can easily outbox him. He punches so wide so often, he actually fell over in his last fight. Spzilka landed a fair few counter punches, which Povetkin should be able to deliver with power. Wilder fought tall against Stiverne, a Lara-esque performance (Lara-Canelo) until he could land the occasional right hand. He could employ the same tactics against Povetkin, but Povetkin is a much better fighter as proven, faster and can cut off the ring. We know one hard punch from either can end the fight, but Povetkin has shown to have some whiskers (taking some solid shots from Wlad, and numerous from Huck). Both him and Povetkin have shown to fight for a full 12 rounds.

Its definitely intriguing, only in the sense that we all want to know if Wilder can improve. It's a little silly to question why Povetkin would be the favourite - he's proven a lot more at the top level.

What's so great about his resume as a pro? I've seen dude fight 3 times and I didn't see anything dynamic about him.

There's nothing dynamic about either guy, that's what makes it a good fight..hoping Wilder wins and sets up a unification with Fury or Klit at the end of the year...

I would never call Povetkin special but his 20 year amateur and pro career is pretty impressive. He is just a well rounded boxer who has mixed with all styles, heights and weights and only lost once to a very dominant HW. From what I have seen he has a much better ring IQ than Wilder and makes less mistakes. I think he has too much experience and power for Wilder and will outsmart him in there, I'll be putting money on a Povetkin win for sure

Well I've seen Povetkin fight 3 times and I'll be surprised if he really tries to win the fight. Once he gets touched by Wilder I think he will be trying to survive.

I can remember him fighting in the Olympics so I know what Povetkin can bring. I've only seen Wilders last 4 fights and a couple amateur bouts so that's all I judge him on. Really not sure how Wilder will perform away from home in front of a hostile crowd and under pressure. I think he has gone into his last 4 fights comfortable, without much media attention, and knowing he is not fighting a top opponent. I like to factor everything into a fight before making a prediction. Wilder has too many unanswered questions at this level and has never been in a big fight so I have to go with the proven fighter
