Wilders fans can't complain now about povetkin stalling for the purse bid....5.5 million is pitiful if you wanted to keep the fight in the states ....I don't think wilder wants this fight for some reason....might be wrong we will see

Not as big as most, inc me, were expecting, but its probably about right for this fight really.

      How does the split work?

70/30 split champ gets lions share if have to travel to another country for fights gets extra 5% I believe and wbc just setup new 10% to winner rule so splits now be a little different

Wilder made millions managing to face Szpilka, Duhaupas and Molina when he was supposed to have an immediate mandatory versus Jennings. As everything has played out he can not begrudge the purses being what they are, Wilder simply isn't a big draw.

To think Fury and Wilder is considered to be the biggest fight in the division I don't see a lot of money in that either, surely Fury won't be on ppv again in the UK after his last performance.

I believe he will take the fight. But yeah, we will see. I just think Haymon doesn't have full control over the Waddell & Reed money anymore to make crazy decisions like paying Lara a million for a fight nobody sees or cares about or overspending to win purse bids. My guess is that in 2016, he has more checks and balances with the PBC spending.

Seems like DiBella had the wrong info, 7 is high but a bit less that I figured Wilder's team would go if they had the right info.
