Surprised to see you guys downplay a purse bid of 7M+. Wilder is set to make $4-5M+ even though 2 of his last 3 fights have drawn 600K and 500K viewers on Showtime. This guy is able to walk down Times Square unnoticed. And he is set to bank over 5M with a victory (and over 4M even with a loss)? I'd be jumping for joy if I was Wilder.

It wasn't quite that close...I think the difference was like $2,500.

Still really small given the size of the bids.

I hoping Hyrunov would win with a lower than expected bid. Now lets see if Wilder will try to keep his belt.

Have the fight in Russia and let Wilder travel there

Wilder needs to become a world figure so Russia would be a great place to start for the Alabama Wildman. The Russians will love Wilder and his clownish ways and fun loving attitude and big smiles. Plus watching Wilder KO the frozen shuffling slow as a Glacier Povetkin would be great for all the USA. Wilder needs to make a huge statement to all of Russia and even ***** that America dominates the world as usual. Commies cannot beat America and Freedom ever.
Wilder can do it and do it LOUDLY. When playing boxing Roulette always bet on black. Let Freedom Ring.

This fight is Legit. I'm psyched. This fight makes or breaks either fighter. I still think Povetkin pulls it off, but Wilder has improved every time he steps up in competition. I believe both of these guys beat Fury.

Why are people saying the purse bids are low? I don't get it. Do they deserve like $5 million each? I think $5million split sounds about right, but $7 million split is more than fine. Neither of these guys are PPV fighters who are going to draw a whole lot. Did people expect $8-10million or something?

Yeah, I mean I don't know, I think people are confusing this with like a Canelo/Cotto level of fight. These guys aren't exactly draws like that. 70% of $7million? That's a little bit? lol.

I expected around 10 million. I thought both sides were geared to overpay massively for this fight.
