It isn't, the only way it is worth that sort of money is if you take in to account the long term effect of the winner and paying to bring about the advantage to make sure that happens.

It is going to be on at a weird time so no US TV money really, there is no money in Russia, I doubt there is a ton of European TV dough. Rubles aren't worth pocket lint at the moment so hard to see how live gate really makes a difference.

I do not think they cared about winning the purse bid, knowing Wilder would get 70% of the purse.

Nah, they should have cared, because winning the bid would have meant they could name the location where the fight would take place.

70/30 split champ gets lions share if have to travel to another country for fights gets extra 5% I believe and wbc just setup new 10% to winner rule so splits now be a little different

I don't know about that. Is it really wise to go to another country & fight where you've never fought before? It didn't fare well for Foreman or Tyson. As the champion, Wilder's people could have won the bid & he still would have gotten the lion's share.
