Salido easily handled Loma, I think Walters can pull it off, plus Loma is feather fisted so don't see how he can keep Walters off him if he gets inside.

First, Salido was a welterweight and almost getting knocked out by Loma is not "easily handling" him other than easily handling him countless low blows. On top of that, it was in Lom's SECOND fight as a pro and he has adapted and learned. I have money on Lom if they fight. Lom's style is all wrong for Walters.

HBO never said no to the card. Arum and Peter Nelson are both in DC for the fight tomorrow and Arum said he and Peter are going to talk about it and other stuff. So we will see.

That had so much more to do with Lomachenko's cluelessness about the pro level than Salido being that much better than Loma, though. I can't hold that against him. Lomachenko has learned a lot since then about the pro game.

Walters likes to work behind the jab to set up power shots, he isn't the mugger Salido was in that fight. I can definitely see him being outclassed at range because his jab could never set anything up. Or maybe he will walk through Lomachenko and land all the significant punches.

Great fight either way. I'm glad it is happening.

I heard it's probably because Walters is overweight again. Lomachenko should fight in April then fight Walters sometime in the summer, not his fault Walters is being a fatass again and people always want to blame it on Vasyl (Pretty confident I know why).
Lomachenko should be fighting at least three times a year right now, this is freaking ridiculous. June is unacceptable.
